Andrea
Creative Director
With over two decades of experience in the hairdressing industry, Andrea is a highly experienced and creative hairdresser. Before starting Smitin hair, Andrea worked for Internationally renowned salons Vidal Sassoon, Toni & Guy and for the world’s largest spa company on the Seas, Stiner. Whilst working for Stiner on the luxury cruise ship Navigator of the seas, Andrea gained a wealth experience in wedding and special occasion hair along with a high level of customer service skills. In 2010 Andrea decided to lay down roots in Farsley opening up Smitin hair. With a passion for training Andrea completed her assessor’s qualification and began to grow the Smitin team, successfully training apprentices to management level who she has the pleasure of working alongside today.
Andrea continually supports her team with growing their skills whilst also ensuring her skills are up to date and on trend by attending regular training courses and seminars.
Andrea’s forte is big transformations. Anything from balayage, colour correction, short haircuts to long haircuts with an edge.

Johan
Manager
Born and bred South African man. After working as a restaurant manager in South Africa then for high end restaurants and cocktail bars in Dubai then going on to work for series of luxury cruise ships as a restaurant manager and wine sommelier, Johan’s customer service is second to none!
Johan always did have a passion for hairdressing and used to have a line of crew waiting for their haircut even before his hairdressing career started.
After meeting Yorkshire lass Andrea on the ships he decided to lay down roots in Farsley. After the opening of Smitin hair in 2010 Johan decided to take his Love for hair further and began his hairdressing training. Once Johan had completed his NVQ level 2 and 3 he then invested in 1-1 training courses, seminars and demonstrations with Internationally renowned salons Toni & Guy and HOB salon. After achieving a Toni & Guy cutting diploma Johan went on to further his colour knowledge and techniques with Wella, Matrix and fudge.
After working backstage for London Men’s fashion week, Johan’s passion for short hair transpired. Johan has a special talent for creating ladies and men’s short hairstyles.
With the issue of hair loss been close to Johan’s heart and a wearer of a hair system, Johan specialises in men’s non-surgical hair replacements. Johan understands how life changing it can be.

Freya
Senior Stylist
Freya has a keen eye for fashion. Freya always looks the part and goes out of her way to make you feel fabulous. Freya started at Smitin Hair in 2014 as a Saturday girl and soon realised this was the career she wanted to pursue. Freya started her training with leading salon West Row before returning to Smitin Hair and working her way up Top stylist and is now an integral part of the Smitin team. Freya has had the opportunity to showcase her work through photo shoots creating various Avant Garde hair. She then went on to develop her skills further and became qualified in Raccoon international hair extensions.
Freya’s forte is glamourous hair, including all aspects of ladies’ hairdressing from short to long, colouring and hair extensions.

Pippa
Stylist
Born and bred Farsley lass Pippa, joined Smitin hair in 2019 to commence her hairdressing career.
Whilst working her way up from apprentice to stylist, Pippa was always ahead of her game gaining distinctions and winning competitions along the way!
Before Smitin Hair, Pippa worked in a beauty salon where she gained excellent customer service skills and knowledge in the beauty world.
Pippa continually impresses us with her colour work and ladies’ haircuts, but her ultimate forte must be hair up styles. Whether you’re going to a festival or you’re the beautiful bride, Pippa is the one to book!
